EnglishOn December 31, the Liugang Group Conference Center was buzzing with energy and ideas as the 2025 Liugang "Ten Thousand AI Employees" Competition Awards Ceremony and the Liugang-specific AI DingTalk 1.1 New Product Launch were held in grand style. As a key initiative to actively respond to the national artificial intelligence development strategy and implement the autonomous region's deployment of AI empowerment across industries, this event marks a solid step forward and a milestone achievement in the Liugang "Ten Thousand AI Employees" program. Li Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Liugang Group, and Yan Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, jointly attended the ceremony.
Innovative Achievements Emerge Continuously
In recent years, the Liugang Group has accelerated the development of a large-scale steel model and the pilot construction of a "Ten-Thousand-Ton Factory," building Guangxi's first intelligent, fully automated steel analysis and testing line. It has also achieved extensive application in typical "AI + Manufacturing" scenarios such as smart ore blending, AI steelmaking, and a digital steel coil platform, effectively improving production and operational efficiency while continuously driving technological innovation breakthroughs.
Promoting Innovation Through Competition, Igniting Companywide AI Enthusiasm
This year's competition adhered to the philosophy of "using competition to promote application, production, and innovation," showcasing the practical results of Liugang employees in advancing AI implementation. Since its launch in March last year, the competition has attracted more than 100 teams and over 300 employees, covering core areas such as production, logistics, energy, and management. Nearly 1,800 AI assistant applications have been successfully incubated, fostering a positive culture within the company where "everyone learns AI, uses AI, and creates AI."
Honoring Pioneers, Sharing Practical Insights
At the event, Li Bin and Yan Jun presented awards to 11 outstanding teams that won the Best Popularity Award, Best Industry Application Award, Best Technological Innovation Award, and other honors, recognizing their pioneering efforts in integrating AI into business scenarios. Teams such as the Silicon Pioneer Team from the Cold Rolling Mill with their "Yuan AI Assistant," Team 2 from the Sales Center with their "Direct Sales Company Intelligent Quotation Assistant," and the Production Center Team with their "AI-Driven Raw Material Return Plan Optimization" shared their application experiences and exchanged practical insights on-site.
In his speech, Yan Jun noted that Liugang has built a full-stack domestically produced computing power platform and a unified data mid-end, becoming the first manufacturing enterprise in Guangxi to achieve dual certification—DCMM Level 4 and DSMM Level 3. Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan, the group will focus on three key directions: strengthening data-driven approaches to drive the transformation of data into assets and services; deepening scenario-based applications to enable AI to move from "single-point breakthroughs" to "full-chain collaboration"; and maintaining open cooperation to build an independent and controllable AI solution ecosystem for the steel industry. He called on all levels of management to lead by example, promoting deep integration between technology and business to truly translate innovative achievements into tangible productivity gains.
New Product Unveiled, Supporting Management Upgrades
During the new product launch session, Qiu Da, Vice President of DingTalk and General Manager of AI Solutions, introduced the AI DingTalk 1.1 version. This version features comprehensive upgrades in AI search, voice recording organization, intelligent table processing, and travel management, further enhancing the Liugang Group's management efficiency and operational intelligence while injecting technological momentum into innovative management models.
Expert Insights and Academy Launch
Yao Chi, Founder and CEO of Yizhi Weisi, delivered a keynote speech titled "Cultivating AI Engineers for Manufacturing," providing an in-depth analysis of viable pathways for integrating technology with industry. At the same time, the "Liugang AI Academy" was officially inaugurated. The academy will serve as a core hub for cultivating cross-disciplinary AI talent and driving technological innovation and management transformation. It will establish an integrated talent development loop—from business understanding and model development to engineering delivery—providing a stable talent pipeline to support the company's digital transformation.
