On July 28, the "AI Doers" session hosted by DingTalk successfully concluded at the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC). The event focused on the practical application of AI technologies in enterprise scenarios, bringing together hundreds of top experts in the field of artificial intelligence and leading figures in enterprise digitalization. Together, they explored AI practices across industries and painted a picture of the future of work in the AI era.

Zhang Chengqi, Chair Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Director of the Shenzhen Research Institute; Li Yian, General Manager of Matrix Superintelligence Operations; Liu Lin, Head of Digital Ecosystem at China Merchants Securities; Zhang Yanbing, Senior Vice President of Best Inc.; Li Xiaochun, CIO of Youcheng Holdings; Wang Xiaojun, Managing Partner of Zeda Law Firm; Shi Yanping, Head of Sales Platform Business at Shenzhen Airlines; Liu Yan, Vice President of Dongcheng Qingmao Club; Yang Meng, Commercial President of DingTalk; and Zhu Hong, CTO of DingTalk, attended the event and shared their insights.

At the event, DingTalk unveiled its top ten most commonly used AI capabilities and released the "AI Doers" AI Case Handbook, which compiles best practices from front-line enterprises. The handbook uses real-world cases to demonstrate how AI is transforming from a technology into a productivity driver, empowering businesses to achieve efficiency leaps and business innovation.

The Second Half of AI: Enterprise-Specific Models Are Set for Explosive Growth

From agrarian civilizations to the Industrial Revolution, every leap in human society has been accompanied by innovations in tools and a surge in productivity. In the AI era, DingTalk has witnessed and driven the rapid evolution of this transformation within enterprises.

In his keynote speech, "AI Doers," DingTalk CTO Zhu Hong pointed out that AI has shifted from its first half to the second half—a critical moment when enterprise data begins to unlock the full value of AI as a productivity driver. In the coming years, AGI tailored to specific vertical domains will emerge rapidly. In the second half of the AI era, enterprises must demand tangible results from AI, and 2025 will mark the inaugural year for industry-specific large models and enterprise-specific models to go live. Enterprise-specific models are poised for explosive growth, and the capability ceiling of intelligent agents depends on the power of the underlying models. Self-training models will become a key pathway for enterprises to embrace AI.

Zhu Hong unveiled DingTalk's top ten most frequently used AI scenario-based capabilities. Among these, some AI capabilities simplify human-machine collaboration—for example, speech-to-text, quick reading, summarization, and abstracting of IM messages. Other AI capabilities democratize technology, lowering the skill requirements for users—for instance, message translation, AI Tables, and intelligent financial data insights. Still other AI capabilities help users reduce repetitive tasks and significantly boost efficiency—such as employee care, contract review summaries, meeting minutes, document content correction, and real-time AI captions for video conferences.

Zhu Hong said, "Enterprises can start using AI with these ten scenarios. As a foundational platform for enterprise digitalization, DingTalk is continuously refining its own AI capabilities. In the AI era, DingTalk will strive to help its customers succeed and elevate data value and industry intelligence to a whole new level."

Industry Practices: AI Deeply Integrated Into Core Business Operations

The event brought together numerous "AI Doers" from various industries, who shared the latest real-world experiences in AI applications.

Founded in 2007, Best Inc. is a global leader in smart supply chain solutions and logistics services. Zhang Yanbing, Senior Vice President of Best Inc., noted that the company categorizes enterprise scenarios into "high-tolerance scenarios" and "low-tolerance scenarios." In high-tolerance scenarios, AI delivers surprising results. Taking the customer voice scenario as an example, Best Inc. uses DingTalk AI Tables to manage more than 6,000 customer service group chat messages. Through AI, the company achieves intelligent classification, customer sentiment analysis, and real-time visibility, automatically pushing relevant information to the appropriate personnel to drive service improvements and efficiency gains.

Meanwhile, in the critical customs clearance process of logistics operations, DingTalk AI applications have helped reduce risks associated with cross-border logistics. By leveraging DingTalk AI's image recognition and semantic understanding technologies, employees input customs clearance information into AI Tables in advance. The AI then performs a preliminary review of the content, provides adjustment recommendations, and pushes relevant progress updates directly to DingTalk, enabling proactive risk management and reducing the rate of returns or rejections.

Liye Cloud is an industry big data company centered around AI, dedicated to building China's leading site-selection platform for enterprises. By leveraging AI large models, the company empowers enterprises in site selection and investment promotion. Based on DingTalk, Liye Cloud has created the "Enterprise Site Selection AI Assistant," which is available on its official website and other platforms, providing enterprises with smarter, more convenient services and ushering in a "2.0 era" of site selection.

The "Enterprise Site Selection AI Assistant" not only contains a vast database of industrial park information but also integrates a knowledge base of nearly 10,000 successful site-selection cases, enabling it to provide expert-level site-selection advice. In the past, enterprises faced numerous personalized needs, and it was difficult to find the desired results through simple searches. Now, through conversational AI, personalized needs can be identified, and corresponding recommendations are provided. DingTalk's AI capabilities have not only enhanced the customer experience for Liye Cloud but have also reduced the need for extensive human interaction between clients and the company, allowing DingTalk AI to handle many tasks instead and saving significant labor costs.

In addition, digitalization leaders from companies across various industries—including Matrix Superintelligence, China Merchants Securities, Youcheng, Zeda Law Firm, Shenzhen Airlines, and Dongcheng Group—shared their practical applications of DingTalk AI. These real-world cases from diverse industries reveal how AI is becoming a core productivity driver for industrial upgrades and demonstrate how DingTalk's AI capabilities are deeply integrated into enterprises' core business operations, unlocking tremendous value in cost reduction, efficiency improvement, risk prevention, and customer experience enhancement.
