Cross-border e-commerce talent recruitment—use AI Chengpin!
Attract Global Premium Products, Expand Import Opportunities
On the afternoon of March 15, as part of the “Sharing the Big Market · Export from China” series, a cross-border e-commerce resource matchmaking conference titled “Attract Global Premium Products, Expand Import Opportunities” was successfully held at Hall 2 of the Hangzhou National Expo Center. As an important component of “Buy Globally in Zhejiang · Consumption Starts in Hangzhou,” the event drew participation from government departments, cross-border platforms, supply chain companies, industrial parks, brand representatives, and industry associations. Together, they explored new trends in import trade, created innovative consumption scenarios, and collaborated to build an industry ecosystem, fully energizing the development of Hangzhou’s cross-border e-commerce import sector.
Government–Enterprise Collaboration Builds a Talent Exchange Bridge
In her speech, Wu Changhong, Party Group Member of the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Full-time Deputy Director of the Free Trade Commission, noted that this year marks the beginning of a new decade for the Hangzhou Cross-Border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone. The resource matchmaking conference aims to establish an open and efficient platform for exchange and cooperation, promoting a dual-circulation model of “buying globally and selling globally.” She encouraged all sectors to leverage Hangzhou’s strengths in attracting cross-border platforms, facilitating seamless connections; utilize the city’s well-established ecosystem to deepen collaboration between markets and brands; and embrace cutting-edge trends such as live-streaming e-commerce and AI-driven marketing to align industry needs with targeted talent cultivation.
Launch of the AI Spring Recruitment Program to Support Talent Supply
Talent is the core driving force behind the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce. In response to the widespread challenge of recruiting versatile professionals, the “E Embrace the Globe · Jobs Because of You” 2026 Hangzhou Cross-Border E-Commerce AI Spring Recruitment Initiative was officially launched at the event. Co-sponsored by the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and DingTalk, among other organizations, the project seeks to create a tripartite platform for talent training and placement involving government, academia, and enterprises. DingTalk Vice President Ma Lijun represented the company and joined government leaders in witnessing the program’s launch.
Solving Recruitment Pain Points: Smart Matching Powered by AI
Today, the cross-border e-commerce landscape is shifting toward branding, compliance, and精细化运营 (refined operations). With Hangzhou’s industry rapidly upgrading, demand for multi-disciplinary talent proficient in foreign languages, communication skills, and operational expertise continues to grow. However, many small and medium-sized cross-border businesses still face challenges such as limited brand recognition, scarce resume sources, and inefficient interview scheduling.
This spring recruitment initiative leverages DingTalk’s “AI Chengpin” campus recruitment platform, pioneering a new model of university–enterprise collaboration to provide customized hiring solutions for Hangzhou’s cross-border e-commerce firms.
According to Jing Tianqi, head of DingTalk’s AI Chengpin, the platform has integrated resources from over 1,700 universities. Through three key technological innovations—“AI立体简历 (AI-powered comprehensive resumes),” “多媒体职位展示 (multimedia job presentations),” and the “智能寻才系统 (intelligent talent-search system)”—the initiative effectively addresses the dual dilemma of “companies unable to find candidates” and “graduates unable to secure jobs.” It helps deliver international-minded, highly skilled, and dynamic young talent, precisely matching critical roles such as less-common-language specialists, cross-border operations experts, and overseas regulatory compliance officers.
Companies can upload videos introducing their positions and corporate culture to attract top applicants, while leveraging AI-powered screening and intelligent push notifications to boost initial selection efficiency and directly reach target candidates. The platform also supports resume recognition in 12 foreign languages, significantly enhancing the success rate of matching foreign-language talent.
Students, on the other hand, can submit立体简历 (comprehensive resumes) featuring video self-introductions, portfolios, and workplace personality assessments, enabling employers to gain a holistic understanding of their overall qualifications and potential.
As the first city in China to establish a cross-border e-commerce talent alliance and found a dedicated academy, Hangzhou has long been committed to becoming a premier hub for cross-border e-commerce talent. This “2026 Hangzhou Cross-Border E-Commerce AI Spring Recruitment Initiative” will run in full from March to May this year. It not only represents an innovative application of digital technology to enhance talent services within Hangzhou’s cross-border e-commerce pilot zone but also marks a significant step forward in implementing a collaborative “government–academia–enterprise” education mechanism.
