DingTalk has launched a new chat AI feature: high-EQ AI helps you respond effortlessly.

Recently, many users noticed a small icon added on the right side of the DingTalk chat input box. By clicking it, you can use the "One-Click Generate High-EQ Reply" feature, which quickly sparked widespread attention and frequent use among workplace users.

According to the DingTalk team, this feature was initially proposed by a post-2000 product manager as an internal "fun" idea that wasn't considered promising. However, during gray-scale testing, this entry point significantly boosted chat activity, with users frequently calling it in both group chats and private chats, reporting, "I just can't stop using it."

The newly launched "AI Smart Reply" feature can identify the identities and organizational relationships of both parties based on the current conversation context, and intelligently generate 4–6 reply suggestions covering various styles, including concise, professional, confirmatory, and light-hearted. Users can edit these suggestions further before sending, saving time on wording while still retaining personalized expression.

For example, in communication between superiors and subordinates, the system prioritizes formal, concise, or proactive confirmation-style replies; in customer service scenarios, it focuses on polite inquiries and patient responses, helping users maintain a professional and appropriate image.

Even in awkward situations like "a colleague wants to hitch a ride" or "a trap-setting chat," "AI Smart Reply" can recognize subtle atmospheres and provide high-EQ response suggestions.

Users simply click the "AI Smart Reply" icon on the right side of the chat box, and the system will continuously provide multi-angle reply suggestions based on past conversations. PC and mobile users can experience this feature after upgrading to the latest version of DingTalk.

In addition, DingTalk 8.1.10 also introduced "AI Emoji Reactions," which allows users to select AI-generated text/image emoji packs with one click for responses; and the "AI Forwarded Message Summary" feature, which automatically distills core content when forwarding multiple messages together, improving communication efficiency.

No need to run inefficient meetings yourself

DingTalk AI transcription has added an AI Q&A feature: even if you're "half-heartedly" attending a meeting, you can still respond fluently afterward.

AI transcription has already become an efficiency tool for many users. In the past, users had to review original minutes to find information; now, with AI Q&A, not only can the system automatically transcribe and summarize, but it can also answer specific questions based on the meeting content, identify to-dos, and action items.

In scenarios such as studying, interviews, project communication, and sales visits, users can use AI Q&A on the transcription details page of the transcript to collaborate with AI to complete specific tasks, greatly improving efficiency.

A human resources manager at an Internet company in Hangzhou said, "Previously, AI transcription could only summarize according to templates. Now I can ask AI to generate a roughly 200-word interview summary and analyze the candidate's strengths and weaknesses. What used to take 2 hours now takes just 5 minutes."

This update also introduces the "Record, Capture, and Mark" feature. Combined with AI Q&A, AI transcription has become a learning tool for college students: after recording a class, it can generate minutes, and users can mark key points with one click during class and insert the teacher's PPT images to aid in post-class review; they can also ask AI about knowledge points and get practice questions that extend the learning. When traveling or visiting museums, users can also generate reports through photo and text records.

The previously well-received photo-and-text minutes feature has also been further optimized: it supports secondary editing of content, including text modification, layout adjustments, and topic removal; it also adds a one-click sharing feature for minutes images, making collaboration and communication easier.

DingTalk A1 has been comprehensively upgraded: your free "simultaneous interpreter," helping with cross-border communication.

As the hardware entry point for DingTalk's voice intelligence, DingTalk A1 continues to lead innovation. In addition to supporting AI Q&A, one-click marking, and photo insertion, this update brings several experience enhancements.

After the upgrade, DingTalk A1 provides free AI instant services, including real-time speech-to-text and multilingual translation. The translation interface supports 180-degree flipping, making it convenient for face-to-face communication, such as asking for directions or ordering food abroad. During meetings, real-time translations can also be projected onto a screen, allowing both parties to view mutual subtitles on a large display, making communication smoother.

The executive team of a specialized, niche, and innovative manufacturing company in Zhejiang has made DingTalk A1 a standard piece of equipment for overseas meetings. Its CEO said, "With it, we don't need to hire additional translators for business negotiations, and meeting content can be synchronized in real time with the domestic team, greatly improving collaboration efficiency."

At the hardware level, DingTalk A1's file transfer speed has been significantly improved, supporting simultaneous recording and transmission as well as Wi-Fi fast transfer, with a 1-hour recording completed in as little as 30 seconds. It also supports merging multiple files and intelligent editing, allowing users to combine multiple recordings, delete irrelevant content, achieve precise transcription, and shorten processing time. The device can also be managed centrally on the DingTalk PC client, enabling remote control, file transfer, and file search, so users can operate conveniently even when their phones are not nearby.
