The system automatically saves classroom audio and instantly converts it into text, structuring the content into clear, organized study notes that are sent directly to students' devices. For students, even if they miss a concept during class, they don't have to sift through long recordings—essential concepts, key challenges, and example solutions are all clearly marked in their digital notes, readily accessible anytime.
Furthermore, teachers can generate intelligent practice questions based on the day's lesson with just one click, distributing them flexibly by class, group, or individual. Because the AI understands the classroom context and the scope and depth of explanations, the resulting questions accurately reflect the day's teaching priorities without straying from the lesson's core themes. Once students complete their assignments, scores and error analyses are instantly returned, transforming into actionable insights: teachers can quickly identify common areas of difficulty across the class or track individual progress, adjusting their teaching pace and delivering targeted support as needed.
Wang Yize, a professor teaching "Western Economics" in a bridging program, has been using A1 Education Edition since its beta phase, incorporating it into his daily teaching routine. Previously, after each 90-minute class, he would spend an entire afternoon organizing materials, preparing exercises, and analyzing student errors. Now, these tasks take only about 30 minutes. More importantly, feedback is now immediate and efficient—issues that once took two days to identify are now visible as soon as students finish their assignments.
"General large models don't understand my teaching style, but A1 is different. It listens to the entire class, gathers ample contextual information, and knows exactly what I emphasize and how deeply I explain topics, so the questions it generates are much more relevant. A1 Education Edition also integrates seamlessly with the Qwen Office platform. Leveraging the classroom data collected by A1, Qwen Office can directly access and expand upon this information, generating not only notes and assessments for individual lessons but also enabling cross-lesson integration to build long-term teaching resources and collaborative workflows.
A1 is DingTalk's first AI-powered hardware product, launched in 2024. During this year's 618 shopping festival, it topped sales charts on Tmall, Douyin, and JD.com, earning recognition with Germany's Red Dot Design Award. The Education Edition continues the standard model's compact, portable design, weighing just 40.8 grams and supporting up to 45 hours of continuous recording with high-fidelity audio capture within a 5–8 meter range—perfect for teachers handling multiple classes in a single day.
Currently, DingTalk A1 offers specialized versions for lawyers, doctors, and educators, evolving from a simple recording tool into a vital gateway for AI agents to gather real-world context and integrate into professional workflows. The A1 Education Edition is priced at MOP 1,280 (approximately RMB 1,099) and is expected to launch soon at the DingTalk Education Flagship Store.
