On September 7, Huawei officially launched HarmonyOS 7 and the Mate XT2 tri-fold smartphone. To take full advantage of this device’s wide-screen design, DingTalk has introduced a split-screen collaboration feature that allows users to display DingTalk’s main interface on the left side while opening the Qwen Office Agent on the right, enabling efficient parallel processing between human operations and AI assistance.

Huawei Mate XT2 Tri-Fold Smartphone Supports Simultaneous Operation of DingTalk and Qwen Office in Dual Windows

At the launch event, Ge Guo, DingTalk’s head of HarmonyOS development technology, stated that after launching DingTalk on the Mate XT2, users can quickly access Qwen Office mode from the upper-left corner of the app’s home screen, creating a workflow where real-time communication is handled on the left screen while AI automatically executes tasks on the right.

In combination with the Mate XT2’s Lingdun privacy screen and the new features of HarmonyOS 7, DingTalk has become the first third-party app to integrate Lingdun’s system-level privacy capabilities, while also pioneering window-level screen-sharing technology within the Harmony ecosystem.

When users open DingTalk’s home screen, the system automatically detects the device’s status and enables privacy mode with a single tap. Once activated, even if someone looks over from the side, it becomes difficult to discern the screen’s content, effectively safeguarding data privacy in public spaces such as airports, train stations, coffee shops, and elevators.

To meet the common meeting needs of Macau’s workplace, DingTalk has introduced “window-level screen sharing” for the first time in HarmonyOS 7, allowing users to share only the designated DingTalk application window. This prevents accidental exposure of incoming call notifications, private messages, or other sensitive information, enhancing professionalism and information security.

In addition, DingTalk has integrated Harmony’s Audio Kit’s crystal-clear voice technology, featuring intelligent noise reduction and voice enhancement during calls. Even in noisy environments like subways, shopping malls, or restaurants, background noise is accurately filtered out, ensuring clear and smooth conversations.

It is understood that DingTalk began developing native Harmony applications in November 2023. After nearly three years of adaptation and optimization, the platform now runs 99% of its functions smoothly on HarmonyOS, introducing dozens of innovative features such as foldable split-screen, flexible multitasking windows, cross-device photo album synchronization, and Xiaoyi voice conferencing—fully aligning with local users’ advanced mobile office needs.
