Previously, many users have shared their feedback with us, expressing a desire for DingTalk to launch a remote assistance feature similar to TeamViewer, which can be used to troubleshoot issues remotely.

DingTalk has "listened" to user requests and now rolled out two new video conferencing features: Remote Control and Multi-device Join, providing users with a better remote collaboration experience.

A single DingTalk is all you need for a powerful productivity tool. Let's walk through these features together~

Remotely Control Your Computer

Troubleshooting Just Got Easier and More Efficient

In your work, have you ever encountered the following frustrating situations?

Your computer system or software suddenly malfunctions, and you ask a remote colleague to help troubleshoot—but they can't find the buttons or steps you're talking about;

You need to work overtime on short notice but forgot to bring your computer home, so you have to ask a colleague to turn on your computer and send files—but your colleague spends ages searching and still can't find what you need;

...

To solve these "I don't know how to do it" and "I can't find it" problems, DingTalk Meetings has launched the Desktop "Remote Control" feature, allowing the other party to directly take over your computer for troubleshooting, file retrieval, or other scenarios.

This feature not only offers low latency and crystal-clear visuals, but it's also incredibly easy to use—just one DingTalk is all you need.

Step 1

Open DingTalk Meetings, wait for the other party to join, then start screen sharing and select "Desktop" mode.

Step 2

Click the "Remote Control" button on the top toolbar during screen sharing. After inviting the other party and receiving their consent, you can hand over control of your computer screen to them. This feature can be a lifesaver in critical moments!

❗️ Small Tip: When using the Remote Control feature, be mindful of potential security risks. Make sure the other party is from the same organization and is trustworthy, and never share sensitive information with others!

Join Meetings Across Multiple Devices

More Flexible and Immersive Online Collaboration

In addition to Remote Control, DingTalk Meetings has also introduced the "Multi-device Join" feature, allowing the same account to join a meeting simultaneously on mobile, desktop, and tablet devices—delivering an immersive collaboration experience.

Common use cases include:

You're in the middle of a meeting and need to step away from your desk to grab a cup of coffee in the break room. By joining the meeting on your phone at the same time, you avoid switching back and forth between your phone and computer—and you won't miss any important details;

You're using a desktop computer for a meeting, but there are no headphones nearby, and viewing the projected PPT on your phone provides a poor experience. In this case, you can join the meeting on both your desktop and your phone. Use your desktop to view the projected PPT while speaking freely on your phone;

In design collaboration scenarios, using a computer mouse to draw and annotate is too inefficient. Using a stylus on a tablet for annotations is much more precise, creating a perfect combination of "tablet collaboration + phone communication";

...

Currently, this feature supports up to five devices per account joining a meeting simultaneously. After joining on one device, users can select "Multi-device Join" on another device to enable simultaneous access.
